Our History
The Musso Group has been a family-run real estate company committed to growth and long-term ownership. Based in New York, we are owners, developers and managers of premium commercial and residential properties. The Musso Group was founded in 1954 by Joseph and Elena Musso with the purchase of a six-family “cold water flat” in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Following the initial acquisition, the company purchased additional “cold water flats” that, under New York City law, were required to be converted from coal heat to a central oil burner. The Musso Group then expanded and began acquiring larger residential properties and commercial properties. Today, The Musso Group owns and manages over 1,000 residential units throughout New York City and Long Island.

The mission of The Musso Group is to be a market leader in the ownership and management of both commercial and residential properties in the New York Tri-state area. As a third generation, family-owned real estate company we are committed to the long-term ownership of properties. We believe in providing our tenants and residents with the best quality service by recruiting highly skilled real estate professionals and providing them with the tools that they need to succeed.

The Musso Group’s investment strategy is to identify and acquire well located but underperforming multi-family properties and utilize the company’s balance sheet and market expertise to create and maximize value.
